Hooray! The time has finally arrived for the opening day of the Kingfield Farmers Market (43rd and Nicollet). We’re all looking very forward to starting the season and here is our celebratory offering:
Breads
- Baguettes (both the traditional shape and the caterpillars)
- Red River Valley – I’m re-instating the original name of this bread, last year’s attendees will know it as Potato Flax. Same bread, different name.
- Mercy Wheat Berry – new this year, it’s a rustic loaf with corn meal and butter-toasted wheat berries.
- Wright’s Walnut – an old stand-by for me, but new to you. This is a buckwheat bread chock full o’ nuts.
